Due to exterior pavement construction, the Study Hall (8pm-Midnight) on Thursday, April 16 is cancelled. Study Hall service resumes on Monday, April 20.

Starting March 30, renovations for the 2nd floor Central Children's Area will begin. Programs will still be offered as scheduled and there will be a temporary pop-up Children’s Area on the northeast side of the 2nd floor (near the Piano Room), including access to collections and train tables. Room Bookings for Library Partners and City of Hamilton Departments

Room bookings are not available to the general public. They are reserved exclusively for:

Library partners involved in HPL-approved initiatives
City of Hamilton Departments conducting official business

Eligibility and Fees

Library Partners and City Councillors: Eligible for free room bookings. Councillors may book up to two (2) free meetings per month for public meetings or groups they actively attend.
Local Partners: Allocated a limited number of free bookings per year.
City of Hamilton Departments: May also book rooms, subject to standard room booking fees.

Booking Details

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
All bookings must fall within the 90-day windows listed below. Longer-term bookings are not available to ensure priority for library programming and events.
Restore Room: All groups must return rooms to their original set-up and leave them clean. Failure to comply may result in loss of booking privileges. Special set-ups are generally limited to paid rentals and must be approved in advance.
