The Medical Officer of Health for the City of Hamilton has initiated a Heat Warning beginning on Saturday August 9, 2025. Heat Warnings stay in effect until they are cancelled or escalated to an Extended Heat Warning.
Daytime highs of 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, with humidex values of 35 to 40 are forecast. Overnight lows of 19 to 23 degrees Celsius will provide little to no relief. The heat is expected to remain for several days.

Unveiling of Poetry Archive Collection
HAMILTON, ON – October 9, 2018 – Hamilton Public Library and The Tower Poetry Society (TPS) invite poetry lovers to Central Library this Friday October 12 from 1-3pm for the launch of the Tower Poetry Society Archive. The collection will be housed in Hamilton Public Library’s Local History & Archives (LH&A).
The Tower Poetry Society (TPS) was established in 1951 and is one of the oldest poetry workshop groups in North America.
