Daily print balances for black and white and colour printing change January 2, 2026. The new daily print balance is 40 cents. Members receive four free black and white copies or two free colour copies.

Bring back your borrowed library items within 28 days to avoid a replacement or lost fee. We'll remove the fee when you bring back your overdue items.
The next phase of Central Library renovations is underway. This project is a continuation of the renovation work that began in 2010 with the award winning transformation of Central Library's first floor.

The Central Library welcomes more than one million visitors every year and we are excited to offer a greater range of services to better meet the needs of all our users. HPL is proud to continue to grow and evolve library spaces as a community beacon and respond to the changing needs of our community. We anticipate that renovations will be completed by the end of this year.
