Previous Updates
Update March 13, 2020
The Hamilton Public Library has activated Level 2 of our Pandemic Plan. We are taking these actions to reduce risk of community spread of COVID-19.
All Hamilton Public Library branches will remain open.
Effective Saturday, March 14 the following HPL activities will be suspended until April 6:
- All Library programs and group activities are cancelled
- Bookmobile service is cancelled
- Visiting Library Service is cancelled
We are suspending these activities to ensure effective social distancing, an important strategy to reduce the risk of virus spread. The Library will also reduce the density of seating and computers (where applicable) in our spaces.
We will continue to monitor the situation. We will be proactive about communicating changes to services needed to protect public health.
