Join us on Friday, Oct 12 at 1:00 pm as we open the Tower Poetry Society Archives in our Local History & Archives Department.
The Tower Poetry Society (TPS) was established in 1951 and is one of the oldest poetry workshops groups in North America. The society is a non-profit organization that promotes poetry and encourages poets. The name, The Tower, was inspired by McMaster University's ivy-clad at University Hall. Since the mid-1970s, The Tower has been published twice a year, with summer and winter issues.
Hamilton Public Library is proud to host and be a part of TPS history by opening The Tower Poetry Society Archives.
