Monday October 24 is Election Day in Hamilton
List First, check to see if you are on the voter’s list.
If you aren’t on the list, head to the City Clerk at City Hall or a Municipal Service Centre before October 24. You can also add your name to the Voters’ List at a poll location on voting day. Bring valid ID.
Email You can also vote early on October 7, 8, 14 and 15 or you can request a vote by mail package until September 23.

An Informed Vote
To get you thinking about the issues, HPL and CBC are seeking residents’ input in a campaign called If I Ran This City. Pick up a postcard to draw or write your vision of an ideal Hamilton at any of our 23 branches.
Join us at Central Library Saturday October 15 2-4pm for a panel discussion with a team of guest election columnists who will share their perspectives on the city, their vision for the future and preview at the candidates.

High school students are invited to have their say in an election-themed writing contest.
Kids can vote too
Kids can vote too at HPL in a special election asking young ones to cast their vote for their favourite Canadian animal. Look for the ballot boxes in each branch’s Children’s area.
Take home election-themed puzzles and a colouring sheet are also available.
