Construction Work at Sherwood Branch

On Thursday, May 15, the library reopens with normal hours but with the following service limitations:

1st Floor is closed to the public
Limited browsing collections of Express Adult Fic and Express DVDs are available on the 2nd Floor
Holds pickup is available on the 2nd Floor
Reduced number of public computers on 2nd Floor
Printing and copying available on 2nd Floor
Seating capacity is reduced
All 2nd Floor collections (teen, children, and graphic novels) are available
Parking, washroom and elevator access are not affected

Please refer to hpl.ca/events for up-to-date program listings. Most programs will continue as normal on the 2nd Floor or in the basement.

Interlibrary Loan Request Form

What is Interlibrary Loan?

If HPL does not own a copy of an item that a member needs, the member can request that we borrow the item from another library in Ontario or Canada.

Are there any restrictions?

We are unable to provide the following types of materials:

New Books (24 Months); Bestsellers
Rare And Fragile Books
CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and Games
Any item that is available for less than $5.00 through Amazon.ca
Articles that are available full-text through our online resources
eBooks and online resources

Please note the following limitations:

A limit of five (5) member requests per month
One title per request form.
These requests usually take approximately four to six weeks to fill, and requests filled from outside of Ontario often take longer
We cannot guarantee fulfillment by a certain date.
Items borrowed through interlibrary loan cannot be renewed.
Late and Replacement fees still apply to Interlibrary Loan material ($1.00 per day and $25.00 replacement fee.)
