Writer-In-Residence: Kate Cayley

The Hamilton Public Library and McMaster University proudly announce Kate Cayley as the Mabel Pugh Taylor 2018/19 Writer-in-Residence.

Kate Cayley is a fiction writer, playwright and poet. Her short story collection, How You Were Born, won the 2015 Trillium Book Award. Her first poetry collection, When This World Comes to an End, was shortlisted for the ReLit Award and her young adult novel, The Hangman in the Mirror, won the Geoffrey Bilson Award for Historical Fiction.

As co-founder and artistic director of Stranger Theatre, she has written eight plays, which have appeared in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Chicago, Philadelphia, Ney York City and Istanbul.

From January to April 2019, Kate will be located on the 4th Floor of the Central Libray
