Writer-In-Residence: Kate Cayley

The Hamilton Public Library and McMaster University proudly announce Kate Cayley  as the Mabel Pugh Taylor 2018/19 Writer-in-Residence.

Kate Cayley is a fiction writer, playwright and poet. Her short story collection, How You Were Born, won the 2015 Trillium Book Award. Her first poetry colleciton, When This World Comes to an End, was shortlisted for the ReLit Award and her young adult novel, The Hangman in the Mirror, won the Geoffrey Bilson Awrd for Historical Fiction.

As co-founder and artistic director of Stranger Theatre, she has written eight plays, which have appeared in Toronto, Mntral, Halifax, Chicago, Philadelphia, Ney York City and Istanbul.

Kate will start her residency at the McMaster University Main Campus. 

From September to December,  she will be at Room 312 of the Chester New Hall Building.
