Do you need a quiet space to study or work, without familiar distractions? HPL may have the answer for you.
Terryberry Branch offers Extended Access Study Hall hours on Mondays to Thursdays from 9pm to 12 midnight. Study Hall hours are restricted to quiet study, not collaborative or group work. The program will start Monday, September 11, 2017.
Who can participate?
Customers aged 14 and older with a valid photo ID card and Hamilton Public Library card are welcome to use the library during Extended Study Hall hours. You will be asked to show both to staff at the beginning of the Study Hall hours.
Can I park at the library during this Program?
Yes. Please use the library parking lot during Extended Study Hall Hours.
Can I leave and re-enter the library after regular closing hours?
Yes by showing your Hamilton PUblic Library card and photo ID card to security. You can enter the building and leave at any time by showing your library card and student card to Security staff. Use the rear parking lot entrance door and the elevator to access the Second Floor.
Can I use the library computers and printers after regular closing hours?
Yes. HPL’s wireless services will be available during the Extended Access - Study Hall hours. Some public computer workstations and printers will also be available, but no technical assistance or staff support will be offered after regular closing hours. If you need to print anything from a library computer, make sure you have adequate funds on your library card.
Can I order food to be delivered to the library?
No. Snacks and beverages are permitted but you must bring them with you when you arrive.
What is acceptable conduct during the Study Hall hours?
You must abide by HPL’s Customer and Service Commitment at all times and behave in a way that promotes a quiet, respectful study environment. HPL reserves the right to take steps to ensure a quiet study environment and the safety of staff and customers.
Can I borrow or return library materials during the Study Hall hours?
No. Self-checkout and self-check in will not be available.
