Calling all poetry writers! Don’t miss Hamilton Public Library’s 1st Blackout Poetry Contest!
What is blackout poetry? Blackout poetry uses existing print (ie. newspapers, discarded books, magazines) to create a new poem by blacking-out words or images that are irrelevant.
Enter the Hamilton Public Library’s Blackout poetry contest to celebrate National Poetry Month, and the Canada 150. Photocopy page 150 from your favourite book and use the words and phrase to create a new piece of poetry!
Submissions are being accepted starting April 1, 2017. Contest will close on April 30, 2017
