  • Dedicated space for computer users with approximately 50 public computers and free training sessions
  • Comfortable reading and individual/group work areas
  • Interactive displays
  • New DVD and popular music collection
  • Expanded areas for children of all ages
  • Convenient self-check stations
  • Community event space in new reading area
  • Access to York Boulevard and to/from the Hamilton Farmers' Market which will feature an enclosed walkway with street level cafe

Directions From Toronto:

Take Highway 401 to Highway 403.

Exit at York Boulevard.

Follow York Boulevard past Bay Street and FirstOntario Centre.

Library is on the right-hand side.

From Niagara Falls:

Take QEW Westbound to Highway 403, Hamilton

Exit at York Boulevard.

Follow York Boulevard past Bay Street and FirstOntario Centre.

Library is on the right-hand side.

From Brantford:

Take Highway 403 to Hamilton.

Exit at Main Street East.

Follow Main Street to Bay Street.

Turn left onto Bay Street.

Follow Bay Street to York Boulevard and turn right past FirstOntario Centre

Library is on the right-hand side.


Public parking lots are located in the immediate vicinity.


*Central Library is open Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. from the second Sunday in September to the last Sunday in April.
