Solar Eclipse Glasses - Return to HPL Branches
If you would like to donate your ISO safety solar eclipse glasses, return them to any HPL Branch or Bookmobile visit. HPL and McMaster University have teamed up with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Hamilton Centre to collect and redistribute. Thank you for returning your glasses.

HPL does not request personal or banking information through social media or require financial compensation when reviewing job applications. Please report phishing schemes to communications@hpl.ca. If you think you are a victim of fraud, please call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
Bookmark Contest
To celebrate Family Literacy Day, January 27, 2024, Hamilton Public Library is running a Bookmark Contest.
Design a bookmark illustrating what your library of the future looks like. What will you read, watch and do in the future? Open to Hamilton residents only.
Three winners are selected from each age category: Birth-age 6, 7-12, 13-18. Each of the nine (9) winning bookmarks will be available one per month at all Hamilton Public Library branches and spotlighted on social media and hpl.ca beginning September 2024.
Be sure to join us for Snuggle Up and Read storytimes and while you're at the branch, grab a bookmark contest form. Submit your entry at any Hamilton Public Library Branch or Bookmobile.
