The Local History & Archives Department, located on the third floor of the Central Library, has many resources to help you research the history of your family.

Library staff are available to help you and no appointment is necessary. To view archival materials, you will be required to show identification.
 

Photocopies and copies from the microfilm reader/printers both cost 10 cents per page. Our microfilm readers also let you save to your USB for free.

Kenilworth Branch - Accessible Service Disruption Notice

The parking lot at the Kenilworth Branch is currently under construction, and is unavailable, including Kenilworth's accessible parking space. Street parking is available near the branch. ‚ÄčAs an alternative, the closest library locations with access to barrier free parking are the Barton Branch, located at 571 Barton St E, and the Red Hill Branch, located at 695 Queenston Rd. We apologize for any inconvenience.
